The arts

On the lower ground floor of Victoria League House there is a large music room with a grand piano and music stands. There is also a Music/TV room on the ground floor. Both are accessible to music students for practise.

Resident music students are encouraged to apply for the renowned Royal Over-Seas League Annual Music Competition. There are valuable awards for soloists in all categories and the winners of the main solo awards compete for the Gold Medal and a cash prize. There is a trophy and a cash award for the winners of the Ensemble Category and also a cash award for Composition.

Each year, The Victoria League organises a Student fund-raising concert at which resident and past resident musicians perform.

Art students may also submit their work for the Royal Over-Seas League Annual Open Exhibition which has a reputation as a discriminating and serious platform for outstanding young artists from the United Kingdom and Commonwealth countries. Many valuable prizes and travel scholarships are awarded every year.
