How to apply

Applications for the next academic year (2026-27) are now open. The first step in your application is to complete our application form - you will not be asked for a deposit until your room has been allocated. Please note, a long term stay requires a holding deposit of £1,000 per person. We can only take bookings until 1st September 2027.

Please note that you are required to bring your own bedding. This can be purchased from UniKitOut who will deliver your items straight to the Student House. 

Short term stays will have bedding provided at the discretion of the House Manager.

Please note these prices apply to long term stays only. 


Everything (gas, electric, WiFi etc) is included in the nightly rate. The only additional standard charges are for membership (£10 for one year) and £15 (per month) for use of the House washing machines. 

The rent is collected on a monthly basis in advance. The bills are issued on the 1st working day of the month and payment is due by the 14th of the same month. 

Long term contracts must be booked in minimum quarterly portions, so those arriving in September can break their contract 31 December, 31 March, 30 June and 31 August in the year's cycle. 

We have very limited space for family and friends who may wish to visit (at the discretion of the House Manager) - please note any guests must pay to stay at the House and must be aged between 18 and 30 years old. 

Important rules to note to help make the House a safe and welcoming environment for all residents (not an exhaustive list):

You are not permitted to have guests stay overnight in your room at any time. This is an important and enforced rule. You risk your tenancy if you break this rule.

Guests are welcome to the House between 09.00-22.00 Monday to Sunday. During visits guests are not allowed to remain in the House without a resident being with them.

No ebikes or escooters or their batteries are allowed on the premises (including the external areas) these items will be removed immediately if found.
